My services include custom wedding invitations and save the dates, envelope calligraphy, place cards, menus, programs, monograms, signage, vintage postage stamps . . . basically all the little details that will make your event extra special and unique!

I specialize in classic, elegant copperplate calligraphy, but also provide modern calligraphy and classic cursive scripts, all written by hand with a pointed dip pen.
Adding vintage postage stamps customized to your Save the Dates, Invitations, RSVPs and Thank You notes adds an extra personalized detail that your guests will not forget. I curate custom vintage stamp sets to complement your invitations and reflect your event and interests. A perfectly curated vintage stamp provides a beautiful snapshot of a couple's story on their invitation.

ABOUT
Hello! I'm Emily.
I first picked up a calligraphy pen in 2004, to design, create and address my wedding invitations. Since then I have spent the majority of my professional career as a marine biologist, with calligraphy acting as a relaxing creative release after a day of work and parenting two young girls. Recently, I have shifted my focus from the laboratory to creating beautiful things full time.
I am a member of the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH) and the Washington Calligraphers Guild. I have studied under renowned calligraphers including Master Penman John DeCollibus, Suzanne Cunningham and Anne Elser.
