Hello! I'm Emily
As a lover of all things vintage, from historic houses and old movies to historical fiction and timeless fashion, I've always been drawn to traditional techniques and classic style. My introduction to stationery design and calligraphy started in 2004 when I taught myself copperplate calligraphy while designing, producing and addressing my wedding invitations to marry my high school sweetheart, Dan. I continued to study traditional calligraphy technique as a hobby following our wedding. Since 2016 I have been providing my calligraphy and design services professionally to clients throughout the country. I also hold a long-term contract with the United States Department of State, providing hand calligraphy on official documents that require the Great Seal of the United States.
I am a member of the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH) and the Washington Calligraphers Guild. I have studied under renowned calligraphers including Master Penmen John DeCollibus, Michael Sull and Harvest Crittenden, Suzanne Cunningham and Anne Elser.
